Barkal Food Industries was founded 35 years ago and soon became the first caterer authorized
by the Israeli Ministry of Health.
Barkal cooks and supplies thousands of fresh meals to kindergartens and schools daily, with a
focus on creating recipes and menus geared specifically for children in order to meet their
tastes and nutritional needs. Its operations have expanded to include hundreds of educational
institutions, community centers, supervised welfare institutions and others. Year after year, it
bids for and wins tenders issued by the Ministry of Education, attesting to client satisfaction,
excellence and high quality.

Barkal carries a Strict Kosher certificate issued by the Jerusalem Religious Council and
employs a full-time kashrut supervisor.
